Thursday is the new Friday in North Myrtle Beach.
From June through September, Main Street transforms into an open-air concert venue every single Thursday night. No tickets. No wristbands. No cover charge. Just live music, ocean air, beach chairs on the pavement, and a crowd that genuinely knows how to have a good time.
That's Music on Main. And if you haven't been, you're missing one of the best free events on the entire Grand Strand.
What Is Music on Main?
The Music on Main Concert Series is presented by the City of North Myrtle Beach and brings live music every Thursday evening from June through September. Each week features a different band, and locals and visitors are invited to bring their beach chairs and enjoy the rhythms under the open sky.
The Horseshoe — the public beach access at 11 S. Ocean Blvd. — has a large stage and ample space to dance. You've got the Atlantic Ocean literally steps behind you and a full street of restaurants and shops in front.

2026 Special Theme: "Celebrating America's 250" — Select bands will perform tribute sets honoring America's musical roots. During the July shows, guests are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary. |

"This is one of those signature events that really brings the community together. There's nothing better than live music by the beach, dancing in the street, and spending time with friends and family." — Angel Sylvester, Special Events Manager, City of North Myrtle Beach |
