If you're a golfer and you haven't made Myrtle Beach your destination yet, here's a number that might change your mind.

More than 80 championship courses stretch across a 60-mile coastal stretch of South Carolina known as the Grand Strand. Designed by legends like Robert Trent Jones, Pete Dye, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Tom Fazio, the area has carried the title of the Golf Capital of the World for decades. And in 2024, it earned another distinction when the PGA Tour came to town for the first time in a generation.

Eight Myrtle Beach-area courses appear in Golf Digest's Best Golf Courses in South Carolina rankings for 2025-2026, including the Dunes Club, Caledonia, the Dye Course at Barefoot Resort, True Blue, TPC Myrtle Beach, Tidewater, Grande Dunes Resort Course, and the Fazio Course at Barefoot.

ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic — PGA Tour

The centerpiece of the entire Grand Strand golf calendar. The ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic is the first PGA Tour event in Myrtle Beach history and was the first major professional tournament on the Grand Strand in 24 years.

The 2026 event featured 120 PGA Tour players competing for the title won by Ryan Fox in 2025, on the challenging oceanfront Robert Trent Jones-designed course at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club. The winner earned a spot in the PGA Championship field.

Tournament Details: $4,000,000 purse | 120 PGA Tour players | Dunes Golf & Beach Club | Par 71 / 7,347 yards | 72-hole stroke play. For spectators, many rounds offer free entry with easy access along Ocean Boulevard.

The Q at Myrtle Beach also returned for year three — YouTube golf personalities competing for a sponsor's exemption into the main field. Mark your calendar now for May 2027. Tickets and Pro-Am spots at myrtlebeachclassic.com.
